Central banks repatriating their gold in vast quantities. What do you think that means?

In 1965 France called for the return of their gold from the US. At that time the US dollar was still on the gold standard. They returned their US dollars and asked for their gold back. It triggered a sequence of events that led to the US taking the dollar off the gold standard (translation there was more USD than there was gold). In other words it was a change of money system.

So now central banks are calling for all their gold to be returned back. What do you think the Endgame is?
