Want bullion? Short supply? Why not buy direct – from the Miner. First Majestic has opened its own online store selling its own silver rounds, ingots, bars and cubes. Very cool. 

This is a clever initiative for the miner. While the silver futures price is falling, the physical silver bullion demand is surging. So much so that most bullion dealers are reporting shortages of bullion. 

By selling direct First Majestic bypasses the futures market, avoids selling at a lower price and gets a better price for its product. Meanwhile investors can get to access a supply of bullion which they otherwise can’t lay their hands on. Win-win!

Normally we prefer to buy silver from LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) certified refiners. However there are many well known refineries which are not LBMA certified (eg. Scottsdale) and First Majestic is very well known since it is one of the largest silver miners in the world.
